Nowhere Man
by The Beatles
Performed by Tim W
(The Mo' Beta Band)

He's a real Nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.

Doesn't have a point of view,
Knows not where he's going to,
Isn't he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere Man, please listen,
You don't know what you're missing,
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command.

He's as blind as he can be,
Just sees what he wants to see,
Nowhere Man can you see me at all?
Doesn't kave a point of view,
Knows not where he's going to,
Isn't he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere Man, don't worry,
Take your time, don't hurry,
Leave it all till somebody else
lend you a hand.

He's a real Nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.

We'd last played music together in 1967. Though a lot of water had passed under the bridge in the ensuing 35 years, when we got together again, and played music that mystical weekend, it was as if we were 16 again, and the years that seperated us melted away. After 2 days of work on an original piece I'd written (The Older I Get, The Better I Used To Be), we set up an open mic, and played the songs we'd played together all those years ago. This is one of those efforts. I apologize for the first minute of the song, but that first minute also captures the friendship of 3 old friends, bookends, doing what they used to do, together. I like this particular piece 'cause my buddies not only let me play lead guitar, but they also let me sing lead. They NEVER let me sing lead. 3 friends, 2 acoustic guitars, and 1 take/all mistakes, there for you to hear.
